Green Ship Recycling
End-of-life decisions your stakeholders can defend
Recycling a vessel is now a reputational and regulatory event as much as a commercial one. We supervise the entire process so that the outcome is compliant, documented and genuinely safe for the workers who carry it out.
Green recycling is not a certificate at the end. It is a chain of decisions — yard selection, inventory accuracy, contract terms and daily supervision — that has to hold together.
We begin with the Inventory of Hazardous Materials: sampling, laboratory analysis and a Part I inventory that reflects the vessel as it actually is, not as the drawings suggest. That inventory drives every later step, from recycling plan approval to worker protection at the yard.
Yard due diligence follows. We assess facilities against the EU Ship Recycling Regulation and the Hong Kong Convention: impermeable floors, containment, downstream waste routes, medical and emergency provision, training records and management systems. Owners receive a clear, evidenced view of which yards are actually capable of the standard they are promising.
During dismantling, our supervisors remain on site — verifying the approved Ship Recycling Facility Plan is being followed, monitoring hazardous-material handling, recording progress photographically and reporting to the owner until the Statement of Completion is issued.
Tell us about the vessel, the yard and the timeline — we’ll propose the right team.
